Space Defenders Android Game

For my final year project, rather than choosing a pre-made project brief, I decided to design my own project, developing my first mobile game in Unity, Space Defenders. 

Space Defenders is jam-packed with features, taking the traditional 'Copter-style' game mechanic, and implementing it within a space context with enemy AI. Enemies increase in difficulty and change behaviours as the player progresses through an alien infested solar system. Once the player arrives at the planet, they must invade the enemy mother-ship guarding its atmosphere. This uses a combination of both 2D and 3D gameplay to keep the player on their toes. Once the boss has been defeated, the player has the option to build a base on the planet, to protect it from future invasions. With ship upgrades, different weapons, full save functionality, hard mode, resource collection and more, this game isn't your typical mindless space shooter.
